shilajit and ashwagandha together

Both Shilajit and Ashwagandha are considered to be two of the most powerful herbs in Ayurveda. They are both adaptogenic herbs that offer strong rejuvenating benefits along with other physiological benefits. Often, people wonder whether Shilajit and Ashwagandha offer the same benefits. And can they be consumed together? This blog explores all these answers, like what is the best time to take shilajit and ashwagandha together? Recommended Dosage of it, Along with some tips on how to make the most of the benefits of these herbs together. So, Let’s dive into it.

Can You Take Shilajit and Ashwagandha together Daily?

Ashwagandha and Shilajit have tremendous benefits for your physiological and cognitive health. When taken together, their benefits increase manifold.

Here are some of the most important benefits of Shilajit and Ashwagandha supplements when included in your daily routine together:

1. Improve Cognitive Functioning

Cognitive decline is caused due to several reasons, such as ageing, head trauma, consumption of excessive alcohol, or chronic stress. These may lead to degenerative dementia or Alzheimer’s disease in some people.

According to a Pharmacognosy Magazine Journal, both Shilajit and Ashwagandha are known to slow down the process of ageing. Their anti-inflammatory properties reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s and boost brain functioning.

When taken regularly, they also improve your focus, memory, and concentration in the long run.

2. Make Your Cardiovascular System Stronger

Shilajit and Ashwagandha have tremendous protective and curative properties for your cardiac system. According to the Studies on Ethno-Medicine Journal, they reduce hypertension or high blood pressure and its harmful effects on your heart.

This, in the long run, reduces your risk of heart diseases such as angina, heart attack, and arrhythmia.

3. Regulate Blood Sugar Levels

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 1 in 10 Americans has type-2 diabetes. This damaging condition also affects your heart, vision, and kidneys.

Ashwagandha and Shilajit help in managing type-2 diabetes by improving insulin sensitivity in the muscle cells. They also help in managing and lowering fasting blood glucose levels.

4. Reduces Chronic Inflammation

When your immune system suspects an injury or bacterial infection, it sends out cells to fight these conditions. At times, this inflammatory response by the immune system continues long after the injury has healed and the infection subsided. Known as chronic inflammation, it can lead to damage to your DNA, obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and even certain types of cancers.

Ashwagandha and Shilajit are abundant in anti-inflammatory properties and reduce chronic inflammation. This helps protect your body from serious chronic conditions.

5. Boost Immunity

Smoking, consuming alcohol, HIV, and chronic stress may lead to your immune system becoming weak. Low immunity may lead to frequent infections with moderate to severe symptoms.

Both Ashwagandha and Shilajit have tremendous antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. They help in boosting your immunity and reduce the risk of a variety of infections.

6. Improve Male Fertility

Several reasons contribute to low sperm count in men. These include tumors, hormonal imbalances, and exposure to painting material and lead. Lifestyle choices such as smoking, drinking alcohol, or long-term dependence on certain medications may also lead to low fertility.

As verified in the Evidence-Based Complementary Alternate Medicine, Ashwagandha and Shilajit improve your oxidative biomarkers and, hence, sperm health. This results in higher levels of testosterone and increased higher sperm concentration.

7. Prevent Anaemia

According to the Cold Spring Harbor Perspectives in Medicine Journal, several reasons contribute to iron deficiency anaemia. These include pregnancy, lack of iron in the diet, blood loss, or the inability of the body to absorb iron.

Shilajit is a great source of iron. When taken as a dietary supplement, it improves the levels of haemoglobin in the blood and reduces the risk of anaemia.

8. Promote Weight Loss

People who are overweight are at a higher risk of several serious chronic conditions. These include heart diseases, cancers, and type-2 diabetes. Other conditions associated with obesity include stroke, sleep apnea, and fatty liver.

Ashwagandha and Shilajit help in regulating your metabolism and increase the rate of fat burning. They also help in suppressing your appetite. This reduces the inclination to overeat and increases calorie deficit.

  1. I have a simple question. I’m a 21-year-old male. I have consumed KSM-66 before for two months and did not experience any significant side effects (I got some acne on my back, but it didn’t bother me that much).

The question is: I’m going back to the gym after four months, and I’m on a calorie deficit. Is it okay to take Ashwagandha and Shilajit together for better recovery and quality sleep? If the answer is yes, can I take one of each in the morning after a meal, or would it be too much to consume both?

    Please answer.

    • Hi,
We would like to inform you that, Shilajit and Ashwagandha KSM-66 work great in synergy to boost your health and vitality.
You can take Shilajit on an empty stomach in the morning with either lukewarm water or milk, and Ashwagandha KSM66’s one capsule per day after breakfast with either lukewarm milk or water.
Furthermore, We would also like to inform you that as with any herbal supplement, it’s important to seek guidance from a healthcare professional before starting supplementation, especially if you have any underlying health conditions or are taking medications.
